Blossom's Blue
Blossom and her girlfriend Blue, wanted to get married
Blossom blessed the spring, music she’d sing and the wind carried
Songs of love she reveled in, declarations to her skin
That felt her truth to be;
But not according to, our God’s society
Blossom as the winds blew, sent to sing her chorus
As the season flew, her love grew, she knew love for us
We who cared less what she feels, lost amidst her high ideals
But we had better notions;
Ever fix-ed marks, but with disciplined emotions
CH..
Put your hand in the hand, as long as it’s a man’s
Know your place, you’ve no right to stand
When the law is greater than love
When the law is greater than love
Blossom and her girlfriend Blue, wanted to get married
Blossom blessed the spring, melodies sing, the wind would carry
And on the wing her wishes flew, you may have felt or heard them to
But what would be your reason? Between nature and mind,
How dare you be a season.
CH… (?)
Put your hand in the hand, as long as it’s a man’s
Know your place, you’ve no right to stand
When the law is greater than love
When the law is greater than love
Blossom and her girlfriend Blue, wanted to get married
Blossom blessed the spring, her voice would ring, the wind would carry
And all around the world it rang, in every hidden heart it sang
For love that knew no ceiling,
No definition bound, but for liberty of feeling
Put your hand in the hand of whose passion you command
Know your place, your right to stand
And turn away from what’s only fear
No law is greater than love
No law is greater than love
